The Cane Corso is one of the most affectionate dog breeds out there, and it will bond deeply with its family and act as protector.  Having a Cane Corso as an outside dog is unacceptable.  They crave affection from their family more than anything else and need to be a socialized member of the family.  Also, due to their coats, they are not equipped to handle the cold weather.  Their coats are short and they shed very little.  
Aficionados of Cane Corsos find them to be wonderful with children and members of their immediate human family. They are described as being docile, devoted, affectionate, loyal companions and terrific watchdogs.
The Cane Corso is an intelligent, willing breed. They usually are eager to please their owners, which makes them quite trainable.  They should be socialized from early puppyhood and throughout their lives.
